Shape Detective
This is an introduction to geometry, a subject that connects maths and shapes. If you look, you'll find shapes (squares, rectangles, hexagons, triangles and circles) all around. There are shapes in buildings, cars, furniture and even in nature. In this activity you'll first make your own shape finders, Then you can use it to discover shapes around you. For example I didn't know that a football is made up of two different repeating shapes. The black patches are pentagons and the white patches are hexagons.
