Make a Kaleidoscope

Please leave a review

You will make a kaleidoscope which is an optical toy.  The reflections make different and changing patterns when it is rotated. If you want, you can get some inspiration from objects in the V&A Museum.  Because, in the museum artists have used colours and patterns to make interesting effects. You will need a tube and shiny cardboard / tin foil and shiny beads. Think about:  What colours do you want to be inside your kaleidoscope?  How shiny do you want it to be?  What will you put in your kaleidoscope? (Colourful or shiny beads, shiny confetti, shiny stickers?)

Activity type: Make

Age: 6-8, 9-11,
